PROLOGUE
First off before you scroll down and read the poem, "I Will Purr No
More", I wish to make a statement as to why these cats/kittens are being euthanized
at an alarming rate and I hope you will take the time to read this.
And Do you know why?
Many people don't, and the main reason that this occurs is because of irresponsible pet ownership, yes, there
I've said it, it is a sad fact, but all too true.
If cat owners would only spay or neuter their pet that they allow to "roam" the
neighborhood freely, the cat overpopulation would and could be better controlled!
Unfortunately, and all too sad, many cat owners believe that spaying or neutering their
animal will make it lifeless, this is so sad that people still believe this in a day and
age of such sophisticated technology and information availability that has dispelled all
this.
Yet, unbelieveably, people still believe it!
All my cats have been neutered or spayed, they have NOT, repeat NOT lost any
of their integrity, playfulness or any other aspect, the only thing they lost and I'm
very glad of it —is the ability to go out and make kittens that will end up like the one
in the poem you are about to read.
So please, Spay or Neuter your cat and help decrease the unwanted cat populous as well as
help to decrease the number of homeless, feral and unwanted cats being euthanized daily.
Thank you for taking the time to read this prologue to the poem, but I am a strong
advocate of pet population control and my site will always be a big support of this.
We're doing our part to PROMOTE and SPAY/NEUTER... Are You?

I Will Purr No More
A cat/kitten was put to sleep (euthanized) today,
A beautiful animal that will no longer love, purr or get to play.
It was sad right from the start,
Knowing another cat/kitten died this way just broke my heart!
There really is no need for any cat or kitten to die in this way,
Alone, Unloved, Unwanted and Pushed Away.
All this cat/kitten wanted was someone to help him play,
To be loved and keep him healthy and happy in this way.
All too sad, and much to my dismay,
This won't be the only cat/kitten allowed to die this way or on this day,
Unloved, Unwanted, Thrown away like a piece of trash!
Don't be quick, and try to be rash,
Please think this through and not in a flash!
So won't you please, I beg of you... Think things through,
Before you make that decision of what to do!
Please don't allow another cat/kitten to die in a way I can not condone,
UNWANTED, UNLOVED, ABANDONED and ALL ALONE!
