It is amazing how the facts of science vindicate the Bible Writings. It says in the Bible that God made this world about 6,000 years ago. When we turn to the discoveries of scientists, archaeologists, and historians, we learn that the information they discovered agrees with what the Bible says. Consider these facts:

11 - Down in the oil fields of Texas, or any­where else in the world, when drillers first pen­etrate into oil, there is a “gusher." Oil spurts up out of the well, fast and hard. This is caused by high pressure in the oil vein. But, analysis of the surrounding rock shows that all the pressure should be gone within a few thousand years,—yet there it is: high pressure. This shows these deep rock formations and the entrapped oil cannot be older than 7,000 to 10,000 years.

12 - Scientists tell us it takes 300 to 1,000 years to make one inch of topsoil. Yet the average depth of topsoil is only about eight inches. On this basis, the earth could only be a few thousand years old.

13 - Century after century, Niagara River keeps eroding away. The length of the gorge, to the point where the erosion is taking place (which is Niagara Falls), Is 7 miles. Since it is known the erosion is about 3.5 feet per year, the age of the falls could only be about 5,000 to 10,000 years at the most. However, the Flood would have greatly accelerated that erosion.

14. Everyone has heard of the Mississippi delta. It is a lot of dirt that has been washed out into the Gulf of Mexico by the Mississippi River. Every year the delta is enlarged by about 300 million cubic yards (229 million cm] of mud. Yet, if the world were very old, that delta is not as big as it ought to be. Calculations reveal it has only been forming for about 4,620 years. But, if the world were even 120,000 years old, that delta would extend all the way to the North Pole! So keep that in mind, the next time you look at a map of Louisiana.

15 - Many islands in the Pacific are made by coral, which grows and hardens at a steady rate. Coral growth rates indicate the earth is quite young. No known coral formation is older than 3,500 years.

16. Sequoias are never older than 4,000 years, yet they seem to be the original trees in their areas. Bristlecone pines were once thought to be older (over 4,000 years); however, it is now known that some years they have two tree rings. There­fore, the sequoias remain the oldest. Since nothing can kill a sequoia, except man's axe and a worldwide Flood, the age of the sequoias-earth's oldest living tree-is important.

17. If mankind had been living on earth for millions of years, we should find records extending back at least 500,000 years. But, instead, records only go back to about 2000-3500 B.C. Then, when writing began, it began fully developed. Well-authenticated Egyptian dates only go back to 1600 B.C.

18. Bible records carry us back to a Creation date of approximately 4000 B.C., with a Flood date of about 2348 B.C. Scientific facts, such as we find here, point us toward the same dates.

19. Prior to 2250 B.C., we have not one record of a solar eclipse ever having been seen by people! Because it is totally accurate, that earliest recorded astronomical event is a significant date. It came only about a hundred years after the Flood. We have reason to believe the sky was darkened with volcanic eruptions for years after the Flood ended.

20. The oldest writing (pictographic Sumerian) cannot be older than about 3500 B.C. The earliest Western script (Proto-Sinaitic) began about 1550 B.C.

21. No really verified archaeological datings predate the period of about 3000 B.C. More ancient dates come from radiocarbon dating; But, prior to about 600 -B.C., they were known to be much more inaccurate. In every instance, our earliest aspects of civilization (crops, animal husbandry, metallurgy, building, cities. etc.) go back to the Near East. This agrees with the Bible record —(Genesis 8:4).

22. Records of ancient languages never go back beyond 3000 B.C.; yet, beginning in the Near East, there are language families which have spread all over the world since then.

23. Estimates, based on population changes, indicate that about the year 3300 B.C., there was only one family.

24. Evolutionary estimates of the age of the earth have constantly changed and lengthened with the passing of time (now they are saying 5 billion years). But the scientific evidence remains constant; and, as new authentic evidence emerges, it only fastens down the dates even more firmly. It all points to a beginning for our planet, about 6,000 years ago. Some may see it as 7,000 to 10,000 years, but the evidence points most distinctly toward a date of about 4,000 B.C. for the origin of our planet. The evidence for an early earth, is not only solid, it is scientific.

True science agrees with Creation and the Flood, as given in the Bible. We can be thankful we have our Bibles. =^..^=

Proteins and DNA

Your body is wonderfully made. All the different parts and their functions are amazing. Yet it was not long ago that scientists discovered that a complicated set of codes governs how your body is structured and how it works.

That master code is called DNA.

You also have very complicated proteins in your body. Without them you could have no muscles and could not move a finger. Indeed, without protein, you would not really have a finger!

Here are a few facts about DNA and protein, which disprove the theory of evolution.

Evolution teaches that you came about by chance. Some seawater slopped together one day, and made itself into some small creatures. Later, these little animals made themselves into bigger, far different creatures. The result is all our millions of plants and animals we see about us today.

There are many, many facts that show that evolution is a false theory. But the truth about DNA and protein, alone, is enough to finish it off.

There are billions of cells in your body. Each cell has a complete code within it. It is the DNA code. Also called your gene pool, it contains the whole plan for your body.

There is no possible way that this code could have been made by chance. It is far too complicated. Only someone with highest in­telligence could have made the code and placed it in your body. That person is God.

In addition to DNA, each cell in your body also needs a translation package, messenger RNA, a biological compiler, an index, and a cell switch, in order to make the DNA usable. Each of those special units is also in the cell.

There is no way they could made themselves, and there is no way they could have been made by chance.

To add to the difficulty, several dif­ferent DNA genes control each characteristic in your body! So they all had to be there, perfectly in place, from the very beginning. There is no way one could be made, and then years (or even minutes) later, another could be made. Everything had to be there—all at once.

Evolutionists teach that, if it is impossible for something to happen, it will happen if you give it enough time. That is the basic teaching of evolution. But it is untruth. If something cannot happen, it will never happen.

If I throw a book into the air, will it change into a live pigeon? No. If I throw it into the air a million billion times, will it happen? Never. Dirty seawater is said to have made living creatures. But that never happened. It could not possibly happen. The DNA code could not be made by ocean water moving about.

Every species of plant or animal has different DNA codes. They are all unique, and all extremely important. None of them could be made by chance. Since it is impossible to make one DNA code by chance, how much more impossible would it be to make the millions of codes found in all the kinds of plants and animals?

Protein is made of thousands of amino acids. Using million-dollar laboratories, with lots of expensive chemicals, scientists are able to make amino acids. But what they make is always dead. It has no life in it.

The scientists can no more make life than you can make a live bunny rabbit out of saw­dust or grass clippings.

Although it is impossible to make even the smallest creature—even if someone could do it, it still would not be alive. Only God can give life to something.

Just as it is impossible to make one DNA molecule, it is impossible to make one strand of protein. That is what is in your arm muscles. Each strand contains thousands of amino acids, arranged in exact order.

So it is just as impossible to make protein, as it is to make DNA. No one can do it, and dirt, sand, or seawater cannot do it either. But it is also just as impossible to make sugars, fats, and enzymes by chance.

So everything in a plant or animal has to all be there—all the DNA, protein, sugars, enzymes, and all the rest. If it is not, the creature soon weakens and dies.

Everything has to be in very good condition—right from the start. Many scientists tell us it would be impossible for evolutionary methods (which means just by accident over a long period of time) to make even the smallest germ, much less raccoons, whales, roses, and boys and girls.

Only God can make a living creature. Only He can make your puppy dog. He is the one who made you. Thank Him every day for what He has done. Give Him your future, and live a clean, honest life, obeying Jesus and He can help you live a far happier life than you could otherwise live. =^..^=

Natural Selection

When plants and animals bear young, there are variations. That Is why you do not look exactly like your parents.

Evolutionists say that these variations can eventu­ally make completely different species, by what they call "natural selection. "

But this theory is not true. There are variations that occur, but they are always within the same species. For example, there are over a hundred different breeds of dogs—yet they are all dogs. Even scientists will tell you they are all in the dog species. There are no changes that make them into tigers or horses.

Variations never produce a new type of creature. There are many breeds of cows, but they never give birth to an elephant. It is a different kind of animal. The variations that occur are natural varieties within species.

 "Evolution" is the teaching that one species changes, or evolves, into another species. But that never happens. We can search the world and never find anything other than distinct species. There are varieties within each species, but each species is distinct from the others.

Evolutionists teach that everything happens accidentally —without any intelligent planning or purpose. But the truth is that every creature was planned. Every part of your body was made according to a blueprint. Consider your eyes, your ears, and your tongue. How could random chance make them?

Another term used, by the evolutionists, is "survival of the fittest. " That is supposed to mean that because the strongest and ‘best’ animals have a better chance to live and have babies, this way they gradually change from one species to greater species. But really what happens, is that damaged ones die, and those closest to the pure pattern of that same species survive, they don’t become something else.

Evolutionists also talk about "inheritance of acquired characteristics." This is the idea that, if you lose an arm, your son will only have one arm. But that, of course, is not true. It was a theory which scientists rejected in the 19th century. Yet it is the basis of evolutionary theory today. Your children inherit, not accidents, but DNA code patterns. That is why your puppy dog will only have puppy dogs. It will not have cats or cows or cucumbers.

The DNA code is a barrier wall which evolution cannot pass across. This code locks every species into a certain basic pattern. But within each pattern, or species, there is variation. But natural variations result in changes, or varieties, only within the species; changes which make one species into a different species never occur.

It is because of natural variations that everyone's face looks a little different. Yet even those differences come from inherited DNA patterns. That is why you look so much like your ancestors.

Evolutionists fear to admit that there is any purpose in the formation of galaxies, stars, planets, or living creatures. They fear it, because purpose points to a super-intelligent Creator.

Every true species produces young according to the genetic code (DNA) within its genes. It is absolutely impossible for a mother cat to produce a fish, a canary, or a gopher. It just cannot be done. And a cat cannot produce a half-cat and half-something else. Cats only produce cats. Some cats are black, some white, and some tricolor. These are variations within species and this is quite normal. It is only when variations produce new species, that evolution has occurred. And this never happens.

Evolutionary theory requires to­tal randomness in everything made, but all about us we see purpose in everything. The plant is given roots to extract water and minerals: and leaves to process sunlight and water to produce sugar. The animal is given legs, eyes, ears, and marvelous internal organs. Everything has a purpose. Nothing is random or haphazard. Everything is wonderfully designed.

Only God can make a tree, a butterfly, or a humming bird. And when He works, He does not work in a confused manner. He made many different kinds of creatures, but each kind is special. We can be thankful we are special to Him also. =^..^=
